Paolo Nicora

Paolo is an Industrial Engineer with 10 years of professional experience in both oil & gas and renewable energy. Paolo has an academic technical background with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering supported by Business Administration, Management and Finance trainings. Through his extensive experience of travelling in Europe and worldwide, he has had the fortune of living and working in multicultural environments which has broadened his perspective and strengthened his ability to adapt to different practices, expanding his technical engineering skills and leadership capabilities. He has started his career in 2013 has process engineering within the oil & gas sector (ABB, Saipem) and then moving to the renewable energy industry (Prysmian Powerlink) as an active part of the energy transition since 2016 in multiple projects across the UK, North Europe, US and Taiwan by supporting the development of greener and smarter power grids (Offshore Wind Farm, Interconnectors and Innovative Cable Technologies). Paolo has developed an extensive technical and commercial knowledge of the Offshore and Onshore Energy cable’s industry, starting from the TSOs, Private Developers up to the complete supply chains of suppliers and sub-suppliers (e.g., Cable and Converters Manufacturers, Installers etc.). In 2022, Paolo has also run a small company with a unique and pioneering project of sustainable circular economy of post-consumer plastic material.
