Dr Wim Lekens is a principal geologist/ CTO and co-founder at GeoProvider AS and a dedicated professional with over 20 years’ experience in marine geology and geotechnical engineering for offshore energy projects. Wim holds a PhD in Sedimentology, MSc in Marine Geotechnics and MSc in Geology. Wim has significant experience in carrying out offshore geotechnical engineering projects including topics such as: site characterisation, geohazards risk assessment, integrated ground modelling, optimised laboratory test scheduling and interpretation, offshore foundation design and finite element analysis. His experience includes the North Sea, Mediterranean, West of Shetland, APAC region, Norwegian, Barents and Baltic Sea.
